The life story of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, after stepping down as the fourth prime minister to his reappointment as the seventh, will be made into a movie.
The movie, titled 'Mahathir, The Journey', will depict Dr Mahathir's journey between 2003 and 2018.
It is set to begin filming this December and will be released in July 2020, in conjunction with Dr Mahathir's 95th birthday.
Directed by Dr Hatta Azad Khan, who is known for directing 'Wayang' and 'Kembar Siang', the movie will be made on a RM6 million budget.
Other than Dr Mahathir and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah’s characters, the movie will also feature others family members and political parties leaders.
