MRCA DEEPAVALI CHARITY VISIT 2019
Rawang, 22nd Octobter 2018 – The Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) under the
leadership of then MRCA President, Dato’ Tay Sim Kim, set up the MRCA Branding
Education Charity Foundation in the year 2010 with the RM1 million fund raised. With the
set-up of this Foundation, the MRCA started to work on giving back to the society through
visitations and donations to Charitable Homes during Malaysian Festive Seasons.
One of Foundation’s main projects is to give back to the community. In conjunction with the
Deepavali celebration that is coming up, they visited Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Kurang Upaya
Kirtarsh to spread some festive joy with cash and goods donations. This home founded by Mr.
Mani consists of around 50 residents who majority suffer from mental health problems. Attached
is the profile of Kirtarsh home.
Today’s visit by MRCA is joined by MRCA Foundation Chairman, Datuk Albert Chiang,
MRCA President, Datuk Seri Garry Chua, MRCA Charity Projects Head, Datin Flora Tan,
MRCA members and youths.
The MRCA Branding Education Charity Foundation is donating a total of RM15,000 worth
of cash, groceries, medical supplies, electrical appliances and mini hampers. Some MRCA members who generously supported this visit by donating to
Kirtarsh home. They are:
• Datuk Seri Garry Chua – RM1,000 cash
• Datuk Albert Chiang – RM1,000 cash
• Myzsm Sdn Bhd – RM1,000 cash
• Dato’ Vincent Choo – 10 units of wall fan
• Marrybrown – Food & drinks for tea break
• Baiwago – Buns
• Komugi – Buns
• GoodMorning Global – Goodie bags
• Transtel Technology – Packet drinks
They hope that with this donation, they can help promote awareness amongst our community about
the existence of the less fortunate and be grateful for their blessings.

• To assist, aid and give relief and to render financial assistance to the poor and needy.
• To provide educational assistance to the needy and the most deserving students.
In addition, the MRCA also gives recognition fund to the children of members and staff who
have achieved excellent results for UPSR, PT3, SPM and STPM.
