According to Mr. Henry Sandanam, Chairman of PSPK Gombak, the children who attended today’s event are mainly from families living in the low-income bracket have various struggles. Most of them live in the low income apartments constructed by the government. The parents in these families are not educated and hence end up in jobs that do not provide them enough resources to support their families. In addition to it, they get involved in substance abuse and spend the little income they earn. The children are those from various cases of families’ issues. Mostly are broken, disturbed and under privileged families. PSPK would connect the children personally mentor them in their personal lives and wean them away from other distractions. We believe that both competency and character go hand in hand to help them become fulfilled adults.
